The Opportunity

Build the Future With Us
This is your chance to apply your engineering knowledge to real municipal infrastructure that shapes communities across Prince Edward Island. As a Municipal Engineering Student in our Transportation & Infrastructure group in Summerside, you'll support meaningful work that improves the systems people rely on every day-from drinking water and wastewater facilities to transportation networks, stormwater management, and land development.

Your Impact
  • Contribute to the delivery of municipal water, wastewater, transportation, and land development projects that support safe, resilient communities.
  • Perform on-site construction reviews to verify work aligns with drawings, specifications, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Collect field data, support water and sewer testing, and assist with as-built documentation that informs project completion.
  • Develop technical inputs including hydrologic/hydraulic models, design drawings, cost estimates, and reports under the guidance of professional engineers.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to integrate engineering solutions that support sustainability and long-term community needs.
  • Support communication with internal project managers, design teams, and external contractors to maintain project momentum and accuracy.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • You're progressing through a civil engineering degree and eager to apply your knowledge to real projects that serve the public.
  • You're energized by both office design work and hands-on field experience-and don't mind getting your boots muddy.
  • You bring curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
  • You're comfortable using MS Office, and exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D, survey equipment (GPS/total station), or modeling tools is considered an asset.
  • You hold a valid PEI driver's licence, and access to a vehicle is an asset.
  • You want to experience the impact of working in a leading engineering consulting firm that is shaping the future of communities across Canada.
