Job Description

Principal responsibilities you'll be entrusted with include but are not limited to:

• Manage and execute Foreign Exchange spot, swaps, forwards and options across currencies.
• Learn and understand the day-to-day workflow of the institutional sales desk and overall FX business - once up-to-speed, play a key role in ensuring the team performs effectively at the highest level.
• Execute FX trades accurately and efficiently, collaborating closely with trading desks to optimize outcome.
• Client pricing and platform monitoring - help with day-to-day pricing of client requests; monitor our electronic pricing platforms, help identify and resolve any issues that may arise (feeds down, client configuration failures, off marketing pricing, etc.)
• Reporting/data - assist with current data mining for both scheduled and ad-hoc reports, as well as help drive innovation and change with our reporting capabilities
• Client calls/meetings - help with any preparation work, attend calls/meetings, assist with write-ups and follow-up actions
• Algo execution - become an expert in FX Algo solutions offered by TD Securities
• Client prospecting - help grow the FX business by protecting new and existing clients, leverage bank relationships to identify cross selling opportunities
• Provide clients with timely market analysis, trade ideas and strategic advice based on global FX and macroeconomic developments : Market TD's FX research
• Ensure all activities protect TD Bank and its subsidiaries from loss and/or exposure to unnecessary reputation risk through strict compliance with applicable acts, policies and regulations as applicable.

Job Requirements

• Current enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program
• CFA or CMT designation is an asset
• Must be bilingual in French and English (written and spoken)
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving ability
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, as the role requires coordination and relationship development both internally and externally
• Hard-working "can do" attitude; who takes ownership and accountability with urgency.
• Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple, on-demand client needs.
• Strong relationship management skills
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills for interacting with partners at all levels across the bank
• Strategic and innovative approach to developing plans and programs that move the business forward
• Python/SQL/macros considered an asset
