Role Purpose
The Sr. Manager of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) Engineering is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of new capabilities on the IGA platform under the Workforce Identity and Access Management team. This resource will partner closely with the IGA Product Owners to deliver new features, platform modernization, and large-scale IAM initiatives. Participates in vendor management of IAM providers and oversees the development of IAM services ensuring strategic objectives are delivered within approve time, scope, and budget. This role is key in driving TD's identity strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Job Description:

Participates in vendor management of IAM providers and oversees the development of IAM services ensuring strategic objectives are delivered within approve time, scope, and budget. This role is key in driving TD's identity strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the IGA development team
- Own the end-to-end technical design and delivery of new IGA capabilities and enhancements.
- Develop and enforce engineering standards, coding practices, and architectural patterns.
- Drive modernization initiatives (e.g., microservices integration, API development, cloud adoption where applicable).
- Provide technical guidance during backlog refinement and story estimation.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and audit-ready.
- Drive performance tuning, optimization, and tech debt remediation.
- Ensure test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality improvements.
- Collaborate with Product Owner and other IAM stakeholders to confirm feasibility and design options.
- Provide technical SME for audit, cyber, and risk reviews as it relates to the IGA solution.
- Participate in go-live readiness reviews and post-release validation.
- Act as the Technology owner which includes end-to-end delivery and management of the IGA technology system which includes but not limited to maintaining asset lifecycle, data accuracy, asset registration, etc.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years engineering experience in IAM/IGA.
- 8+ experience in leading a development team
- Strong expertise in:
- SailPoint IIQ product and architecture
- Java development (Beanshell, Spring framework familiarity)
- Directory technologies (AD, LDAP)
- Cloud platforms (EntraID, AWS, GCP)
- API integrations (REST/SOAP)
- Database design & SQL
- Solid understanding of the IAM space including RBAC/ABAC, Separation of Duties, Attestation, Lifecycle Management
- Prior experience delivering large-scale upgrades and platform modernization.
- Extensive experience as an IAM Technical Engineer in complex enterprise environments
- Experience in leading digital transformation initiatives in the IAM space
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Self-driven, strategic thinker with a business mindset and results-oriented approach
- Ability to build a high-performance culture and lead change effectively.
