Position Summary
Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed permanent full time Recruitment and Retention Ambassador to support the Recruitment department.

The Recruitment and Retention Ambassador is responsible for supporting recruitment and retention activities in the Health Service Delivery Area (HSDA) by engaging with NH employees, senior leadership, managers, and prospective students in the local region. Using a strong colleague/client/candidate/community relationship management (CRM) service approach, the Recruitment and Retention Ambassador forms a collaborative partnership with senior leadership, local educational institutions, local governments and other community stakeholders. Develops recruitment and retention initiatives for particular communities and/or professions and establishes close and productive working relationships with senior leadership, NH employees, communities and local schools. This position is also responsible for ensuring new recruits are supported through the onboarding stages of the employee life cycle, while supporting retention of existing professionals. The Recruitment and Retention Ambassador maintains consistent contact with local elementary and secondary schools to engage students in future opportunities in healthcare. This position maintains consistent contact with Senior Leadership and hiring managers, reviews policies and practices that affect recruitment, onboarding and retention, and recommends improvements. The Ambassador contributes to the development of regional practices and is knowledgeable on current research of best practices in rural retention, recruitment and onboarding, identifying service requirements and making recommendations to the regional recruitment team.

Starting salary will be approximately from $62,239 to $77,799 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Qualfications
• Diploma in Business or Healthcare Administration or Human Resources or a relevant discipline plus three (3) to five (5) years of recent related experience in a large complex unionized environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Preference given to those with local knowledge and experience in healthcare.
