Position Summary
We are seeking all disciplines of Family Practitioners, Specialists and Sub-speciality Providers for locum and permanent positions across our region. If you are looking for flexible, full scope opportunities and an incredible quality of life, we would love to speak with you!
Northern Health is the publicly funded healthcare provider for the northern half of British Columbia, an area roughly the size of France. We service a population of approximately 400,000.
We offer support through site visits for you and your family and substantial recruitment and relocation incentives. We have positions in 26 communities ranging in size from 600 to 80,000 people. Our compensation levels are some of the highest in British Columbia, and our cost of living is among the lowest.
Our Physicians have the flexibility to design their practice to fit their interests such as emergency medicine, obstetrics, addictions, and oncology. We have a variety of payment models available including salary, fee for service, longitudinal family practice and we offer a supportive learning environment for new graduates.
Compensation and Incentives
• Compensation Model: APP, FFS, LFP
• Recruitment Incentive: $15,000 - $20,000
• Rural Retention Premium: 12.6% - 30.0%
• Moving Expense Assistance: $ 9,000 - $15,000
• Rural Retention Flat Fee: $19,121 - $54,443
