Job Description
We're looking for an experienced occupational therapist to join our team in our Special Care Services department. In this role, you'll be a clinical resource and a member of an interdisciplinary case management team that is committed to providing high quality service to severely injured workers by assisting them to develop and maintain independence in self-care, vocational rehabilitation, and daily living activities.

Where you'll work
At WorkSafeBC, we currently offer a hybrid work model that combines working remotely, and in our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.
- Apply theoretical knowledge to the assessment, interpretation, planning, and implementation of health care services for clients with physical or mental health conditions
- Conduct onsite visits to injured workers, worksites, and external service providers of clinical programs to review services being provided for injured workers
- Provide clinical support during team meetings
- Provide oversight on complex physical or mental health claims by implementing and monitoring return to work plans
- Continuously collaborate with all external stakeholders to assist with stay-at-work programs, early intervention, and return to work planning
- Provide education sessions as needed, to both internal and external audiences including employers
- Independently, and as part of an interdisciplinary team, prioritize, plan, and organize a challenging and variable workload
- Build and maintain trusting and cooperative working relationships with individuals and organizations in an environment that can be adversarial
- Travel throughout the region and stay overnight
- Educate, consult, and motivate others and act as a resource to co-workers
- Develop and present education sessions and programs
- A master's degree in Occupational Therapy , and current registration in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia
- A minimum of six years of clinical OT experience in practical areas such as physical health, neurology, mental health, brain injury, amputation, or spinal cord injury
- This team provides services to injured workers throughout the province; you must be able to travel
- A valid B.C. driver's license

- Successfully meet the legal requirements under the Criminal Records Review Act to work with children and/or vulnerable adults
- Confirm you're legally entitled to work in Canada
