Department Overview:

TD's Analytics, Insights and Artificial Intelligence (AI2) team provides consultative support with data & analytics-based business insights and/or solutions to guide decision making and/or strategic planning. AI2 is an exciting team to be a part of as we are transforming how we provide key insights and opportunities for our business partners to better serve our customers.

We are looking for top analytics talent to tackle data analysis challenges in the real world. The analytics services we deliver provides Wealth business stakeholders analytics and actionable insights to help drive meaningful business decisions and results. The team provides a holistic Wealth lens for revenue growth, cost reduction, risk management, customer service, etc. The goal of the team is to develop framework and automation solutions to help build and deploy robust and high-performing analytics solutions through introducing best-practices.

Job Description

Reporting to Senior Manager, Data Science, this role will help drive and support TD Wealth client engagement initiatives in analytical, process development, and execution capacities. This role will primarily focus on providing data-driven insights to support various business initiatives.

Key Accountabilities include:
  • Work closely with business partners to gain deep understanding of the business and relevant objectives in order to contribute to the strategic direction of respective business and/or the enterprise
  • Formulate relevant and meaningful data analysis through comprehensive data visualization tools, profiling tools, segmentation, as well as leveraging advanced modeling and analytics
  • Lead on the interpretation of complex business issues, generate multifaceted insights and identify opportunities to help drive business growth or address business/enterprise needs
  • Present and communicate generated insights and recommended business actions to stakeholders/ business leaders in an easily digestible manner, leveraging tools/ techniques/ methods to produce a variety of visualizations/ presentations that fit the audience
  • Act as the primary interface with business to bridge and translate business requirements to analytics and reporting needs for a given domain/business
  • Apply collaborative and strong stakeholder management approach to constructively influence and persuade stakeholders and partners where appropriate
  • Serve as an authority on a given business domain and provide business expertise to place context around analytics discovery and inform recommendations
  • Escalate data/process related problems and communicate to relevant teams in a timely manner and make recommendations for resolution
  • Comfortable in operating in a dynamic, fast-paced, and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Execute with excellence on key programs / plans and data requests accurately and within a timely manner
  • Collaborate with partners on business challenges and deliver fact-based analytical advice that aligns to strategy and drives shareholder value
  • Work directly with the business teams to gather the demand for analytics and work with the analytics hub to fulfill the analytics demand
  • Work with business functions and analytics teams to transition business requirements to analytics requirements
  • Develops analysis to corroborate initial proof of concept
  • Act as an analytics & insights working lead/resource to others. Work closely with senior leadership on significant projects.
  • Provides thought leadership and/or industry knowledge for own area of expertise
  • Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork; ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
  • Work effectively as a team, supporting other members of the team in achieving business objectives and providing client services
  • Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and other business units, including participation in cross-functional groups or committees (e.g., Data Councils)

Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the wealth management industry in Canada and/or the US, ideally with familiarity or hands-on experience with wealth platforms
  • Lead a team of analysts to extract, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to provide valuable insights for the wealth division.
  • Utilize statistical analysis to identify insights, key drivers and factors impacting business outcomes, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Strong experience in data engineering practices, including designing, building, and maintaining scalable and efficient data pipelines and data marts to support analytical and machine learning work flows.
  • Design and implement AB testing strategies to optimize customer engagement and conversion rates across digital channels.
  • Develop and execute marketing campaign analysis, measuring performance and recommending improvements for targeted customer segments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and translate them into analytical initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of analytics and data driven decision-making.

Required Experience & Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in the banking industry, with a focus on analytics, data analysis, or modeling.
  • Strong expertise in AB testing methodologies and their practical application in optimizing customer experiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and evaluating marketing campaigns using data-driven insights.
  • Solid programming skills in languages like Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex analytics findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • 5+ years relevant experience
